Collaborative Care provides ongoing pregnancy support through labor and delivery.
The most important benefit in our opinion is how helpful treatment can be for addressing anxiety. Every fertility patient – whether you’ve had difficulty getting and/or staying pregnant – knows that anxiety never truly goes away. It’s our recognition and management of it, our resilience, that keeps anxiety in check. We can not make your anxiety go away for you, but we can really help you manage your it by providing balancing mind/body acupuncture and helping you recognize the importance of healthy dietary and lifestyle approaches.
Continued treatment through pregnancy has innumerable benefits.
“Now that I’m pregnant, can I take a break?” Of course you can! You are the captain of your ship. If you have uncomfortable side effects, we can help, if you don’t, great!
If you’ve come to us for treatment, and are at this stage, you’ve come a long way!
This is a time to check in and see what makes the most sense. Maybe it’s taking a break and circling back if any negative symptoms of pregnancy arise? Maybe it’s taking a break until 34 weeks gestation when preparing your body for labor and delivery can be helpful? Maybe continuing through your entire pregnancy makes sense to you? Regardless, it’s different for everybody, and it is our hope that through your own personal growth during your care with us, you are able to make decisions rooted in faith, rather than fear.
