Collaborating with Patients and Practitioners, Empowering you with Holistic Fertility Treatment and Support
At Collaborative Care, we support you wherever you are on your journey. We have over a decade of expertise in holistic fertility treatment. As your providers, we not only address the physical reasons behind fertility challenges, but we also create the space to work through the emotional aspects of the journey, as well.
Founded in 2007, Collaborative Care is a traditional Chinese medicine and natural fertility clinic in Chicago. Our focus on reproductive health and fertility is founded in a holistic approach combining acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutritional guidance, emotional support and self-care techniques.
For women whose journey to a successful pregnancy has included multiple rounds of IVF, we have developed a highly effective holistic treatment regimen. Our goal is to provide emotional and physical support to you while nurturing your reproductive health. We also work with women and couples trying to get pregnant naturally who want to enhance and optimize their fertility health.
Jackie has extensive knowledge and I really appreciated that she never pushed products or treatments and her availability is great. I was pregnant after my first month of going to Jackie via IUI. My body really responded to her treatments and dietary suggestions.

Jacqueline O’Neill, MSTOM, L.Ac.
“I believe the most effective therapy happens in a safe treatment space with attentive, consistency of care. Wonderful things can happen when individuals feel safe and can trust in the process. That is how I am able to do my best work.”
Since founding Collaborative Care in 2007, Jackie O’Neill has become one of Chicagoland’s “go-to” Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) providers for women experiencing prolonged fertility journeys. Her proprietary treatment has helped hundreds of patients with previously poor fertility diagnoses to achieve full-term pregnancies. Jackie’s experience working with women and couples facing a broad range of infertility challenges has honed her expertise in creating highly successful, unique treatment protocols using a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and nutritional support. This diverse experience treating a range of infertility cases makes her a highly valued resource for her patients.
The daughter of a downtown Los Angeles neighborhood pharmacist, Jackie always knew that she wanted a career in medicine, but it was her interest in botany that clarified her intent and aided in her decision to pursue a degree in Chinese medicine.
Jackie received her master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she taught a series of Chinese herb classes. She is Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, and a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine.
Meghan Schmit, MSTOM, Dipl. OM, L.Ac.
I strongly believe each patient can significantly improve their reproductive health. Through a combination of collaboration with their practitioner, hard work, and patience, we can move them closer to their fertility goals.”
Meghan’s treatment strategies center on the belief that the body has an innate ability to heal and restore balance. Using diet, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other various life style modifications, she helps her patients achieve their reproductive goals. Meghan’s patience, compassion, and ability to recognize the uniqueness of each woman’s case makes her a wonderful addition to the Collaborative Care team.
Meghan graduated from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. She continues to study with her mentor Stephen Bonzak, furthering her knowledge of canonical herbal medicine. Meghan is a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Illinois and Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. When she is not seeing patients, Meghan enjoys reading, camping, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
